This page exists so that you know exactly what information we have about you, and how we do and do not use it.

What We Know About Visitors
We use Plausible Analytics, an open-source, privacy-friendly analytics platform, to give us aggregate information about:
- How many people visit our website.
- Which websites refer them to our website.
- Which pages they visit.
- What device they use.
- What browser they use.
- Which country they are connecting from.
Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect personal data, so we don’t have details about individual visitors.
What We Know About Subscribers
If you sign up to receive course updates, we store your email address in Mailchimp so we can email you about new modules and courses. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
What We Know About People With an Account
We use Clerk to manage sign-in and accounts. When you create an account, Clerk stores your email address, your login credentials, and session information. We keep a matching record with your email address so we can associate your course access and progress with your account.
What We Know About People Who Buy the Course
We use Stripe to process payments. They handle the transaction, so we never see or store your payment details. When you buy the course, we store your email address, which course you purchased, and the amount you paid. For parity or freelancer discounts, we may keep an email-linked note of the adjusted price to charge.
Course Videos
Course videos are streamed through Bunny.net. As the video provider, Bunny receives your IP address in order to deliver the video to your device.
Error Monitoring
We use Sentry to detect and diagnose errors so we can fix problems with the course. When an error occurs, Sentry may collect diagnostic information including your IP address, browser and device, and the page you were on.
What We Do With the Data
We use Plausible Analytics data to improve the user experience of the course landing page. We store your email address to verify that you have access to the course, to provide any applicable PPP or freelancer discounts, and to show you your progress through the course.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We only share the information described above with the service providers listed here – Plausible, Mailchimp, Clerk, Stripe, Bunny.net, and Sentry – as needed to operate the course.
Legal Basis for Processing
If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR:
- Performance of a contract – for creating your account, giving you access to the course, tracking your progress, and processing your payment.
- Consent – for sending you course-update emails. You can withdraw this at any time by unsubscribing.
- Legitimate interests – for aggregate analytics (understanding how the site is used) and for error monitoring and security (keeping the course working and safe).
International Data Transfers
Some of our service providers are located outside the European Economic Area, in the United States – Stripe, Clerk, Sentry, and Mailchimp. When your data is transferred to them, it is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Plausible (EU) and Bunny.net (EU) process data within the EEA.
How Long We Keep Your Data
- Account and course-access data – kept while your account is active.
- Payment records – kept as required for tax and accounting purposes.
- Newsletter subscription – kept until you unsubscribe.
- Error-monitoring data – kept according to Sentry’s default retention.
Your Rights
If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, to request a copy of your data in a portable format, and to withdraw any consent you have given. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us.
We do not make any automated decisions or use profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
